UPDATE2: Russia’s Lukoil CEO to meet with OPEC partners Wed–Thu

VIENNA, Jun 1 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Lukoil CEO Vagit Alekperov plans to meet with representatives of Saudi Arabia and Iraq’s acting oil minister on Wednesday and representatives of Iran on Thursday in Vienna, he told PRIME on Wednesday.
The talks will be held ahead of an OPEC meeting scheduled for Thursday. Representatives of the Russian Energy Ministry will not participate.
Alekperov plans to discuss a possible tender for the Anaran block project at a meeting with Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh. At present, terms of the tender are not clear, he said.
At a meeting with Iraqi Deputy Oil Minister Fayadh Al-Nema, Alekperov plans to discuss Lukoil’s possible participation in development of the Nasiriyah field in Iraq, he said.
Iraq urges Lukoil to increase oil production in the country, Alekperov told PRIME after a meeting with Al-Nema.
He also said Lukoil planned to sign documents to create a joint venture with Iraq for geological exploration works at the West Qurna-2 project within one to two months.
